Sam C. Manfredi
PARTNER

Sam C. Manfredi received his B.S. degree in business-real estate-finance from California State University Northridge in 1976. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne in 1980. Upon graduation, he became one of the founding partners of Manfredi, Levine, Eccles & Miller. Mr. Manfredi has devoted a substantial portion of his professional career to all matters relating to real estate. He has been a licensed real estate broker for over 20 years and has owned his own real estate brokerage company. In addition to teaching continuing education for real estate licensees, Mr. Manfredi is a popular real estate lecturer in Southern California. Mr. Manfredi is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before the bars of the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of California.

Ronald B. Levine
PARTNER

Ronald B. Levine is a graduate of California State University Northridge with a Major in Business Administration. He received his law degree from the University of La Verne in 1980 and was a founding partner in Manfredi, Levine, Eccles & Miller. Mr. Levine has practiced law since 1981, specializing in all phases of negligence and bodily injury litigation as well as real estate and general liability insurance defense matters. Mr. Levine is a member of the State Bar of California as well as the Bars of the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of California.

Matthew R. Eccles
PARTNER

Matthew R. Eccles graduated Magna Cum Laude from Utah State University in 1983, receiving a B.A. degree in political science. He obtained his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1986, where he was a member of the law review staff from 1984 through 1986 and served as literary editor on the Board of Editors. Mr. Eccles handles corporate matters and litigation relating to real estate and specializes in matters relating to commercial leasing and property management. Mr. Eccles is a co-author of recent articles The Residential Lease/Option: Its Advantages and Disadvantages and Ugly Seller Carry-Backs: Pitfalls to Avoid in Seller Financing. Mr. Eccles is a member of the State Bar of California and the U.S. District Court Central District.

Mark F. Miller
PARTNER

Mark F. Miller received his Juris Doctor in May 1985 from the University of Southern California Law Center. Mr. Miller is a graduate of George Washington University with a B.A. degree in political science and a minor in economics. Mr. Miller joined the firm in 1993 after serving as associate general counsel of Dale Poe Development Corporation and gained considerable experience in real estate, business and insurance litigation, real estate development, construction and management, and insurance coverage matters. Mr. Miller is a member of the State Bars of California and New York, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court Central District. He has appeared before Courts of Appeal of the State of California.

Don E. Lanson

PARTNER

Don E. Lanson received his B.A. (1989) from California State University Northridge with a Major in Speech Communications, and his J.D. (1992) from Southwestern University.  Mr. Lanson is admitted to practice in all Courts of the State of California and each of the Districts of the United States District Court, as well as the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central and Southern Districts, the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Central District and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Lanson practices in the areas of business, commercial and real estate litigation, alternative dispute resolution, employment and general liability insurance defense.  Mr. Lanson is also experienced in appellate matters.

Kevin Dorhout

ASSOCIATE

Admitted to the Bar in California in 1992, Mr. Dorhout graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in Political Science (B.S., 1988) and a J.D. (1991). He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Central Districts of California.

After practicing employment law in the San Francisco Bay Area for a labor relations firm from 1992 through 1994, Mr. Dorhout moved to Ventura County where he joined the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office as Deputy District Attorney. In 1998, Mr. Dorhout again entered private practice by joining well established Ventura County law firms.

Mr. Dorhout is a member of the State Bar of California, the Ventura County Bar Association, the Ventura County CPA/Law Society, the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association.

David Hadek

ASSOCIATE

David Hadek received his B.A. in political science, cum laude, from University of California, Irvine in 1994. In 1997, Mr. Hadek received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Southwestern University School of Law. At Southwestern, Mr. Hadek was an editor of the Law Review and authored an article dealing with the constitutionality of California paternity statutes which was published in the Southwestern Law Review. Mr. Hadek is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of California and the Northern and Central Districts of the United States District Court.

Mr. Hadek is experienced in general business litigation, real estate litigation, commercial litigation, and employment law. He also has experience in corporate and real estate transactional matters.

John Bowers

Admitted to the State Bar of California in 1991, John M. Bowers graduated magna cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. At Pepperdine, Mr. Bowers was a member of the Law Review as well as the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy Teams. Mr. Bowers received his B.A. degree in Journalism and Communications from the University of Florida in 1978.

Mr. Bowers practices in the areas of business, commercial and real estate litigation, alternative dispute resolution, employment and general liability insurance defense. Mr. Bowers is also experienced state and federal appellate matters and municipal liability.
